David's and Gritty's

After a long day of sightseeing, cleaning up and referencing the list of recommended restaurants, we make a stop for dinner at David's Restaurant, 22 Monument Square. Nestled in Portland's Art District, the creative cuisine the chef cooked up was tasty! After dinner, we decided to walk back down to the Old Port District and head to one the area's many breweries. Gritty McDuff's Brew Pub, 396 Fore Street, was the spot we picked!
Beers are brewed on the premises while mugs numbered for regulars hang in continuous lines above the bar. We even caught a regular drinking from a beer stein and then handed it in before leaving - neat! It made me think that this bar, which first opened in Portland in 1988, has loads of people who visit on a regular basis.

The monument in monument square at night! I have a day shot from a couple of days later (I think!).

I have several pictures of Joe beside various decorated lighthouses!
 At Gritty's!
