The World of L.L. Bean

A short drive north from Portland to Freeport, Maine led us to browse all of the outlets this town had to offer. And, we definitely had to stop in the L.L. Bean Flagship store on Main Street and its subsidiaries. The L.L. Bean franchise was a world unlike anything I've ever seen. The sport specific stores (see below) catering to the adventurous, outdoors type give people the chance to pick up a bike or canoe any time of the day since they are open 24 hours. All kidding aside though, it was really a neat concept overall and more like entertainment - at least for me (especially with all of the shopping available). I've been to several outlets in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, but none like this.
